ABCey Presents: 10 Best Events of 2019

1. The GirlBoss Rally 2019

3. VidCon 2019
Dates: July 10-13th, 2019
Location: Anaheim, CA
VidCon is unarguably the world’s biggest annual digital video conference. It has become the most popular gathering of social media creators, fans, and brands that are passionate about content creating and video marketing. Additionally, there will be live performances, panels, fan and creator meet & greets, etc.
4. Like Minds Camp
Dates: September 20-22, 2019
Location: New York
Unlike other traditional conferences, Like Minds Camp is a unique experience. Guests join in on a weekend long, art- driven community building by camping out. With the theme of time this year, it will definitely be a weekend gateway that you do not want to waste any second of.
5. In Good Company
Dates: October 25th, 2019
Location: San Francisco, CA
In Good Company is a conference dedicated to helping women to balance from being entrepreneurs and mothers. From this event, attendees are able to meet other female creatives; exchange ideas and gain inspiration for how they should approach their lives and careers. What’s interesting is that you can even bring your own baby to this conference.
6. TechCrunch Disrupt
Dates: October 2-4, 2019
Location: San Francisco, CA
This large conference allows startups to sign up and present their business ideas on the stage in front of investors, media for exposure and win prize money. In addition, the featured guests this year include Heather Adkins, Michael Rogers, and Evan Spiegel. You sure do not want to miss out on an opportunity like this!
7. Summit LA 2019
Dates: November 8-11, 2019
Location: Los Angeles, California
Summit LA is more like a festival than a traditional conference. Leaders and innovators from a variety of industries are able to come together to connect and share ideas. In addition to networking, there will also be music, live performances, immersive adventures, and so on.
8. Dreamforce 2019
Dates: November 19-22, 2019
Location: San Francisco, CA
Dreamforce is an annual conference hosted by Salesforce in San Francisco. Each year, Dreamforce attracts tens of thousands of professionals and provides thousands of workshops. Because of this, attendees will be able to learn how Salesforce can help take their business to the next level. There will also be plenty of networking opportunities.
9. Extreme Sales Summit 2019
Dates: September 12-13, 2019
Location: Chicago, IL
The Extreme Sales Summit is a two-day event for all the sales professionals out there. Attendees can share ideas, concepts with each other, learn from sales industry leaders as well as the chance to connect with peers from across the country.
10. Brand Manage Camp 2019
Dates: September 17-18, 2019
Location: Las Vegas
This marketing conference covers a wide range of topics such as innovation, advertising, customer behavior, and more. This event helps companies of different sizes to grow their brand through fresh thinking. WorkshopSF Night Market

Every first Friday, WorkshopSF hosts an open house/party with DIY, art, fun and community. For August’s first Friday event, WorkshopSF is hosting a Night Market where they’re showcasing several vendors who used to take classes at their location and are now successful artists! There will be locally made wares, art, and designs available for purchase, as well as beer and mac and cheese. Bring your friends!
The 420 Games

Get some exercise and join in on the 5th annual San Francisco 420 Games! This event kicks off with a 4.20 mile run/walk/jog/ride (whatever you want), and leads into a Yoga cool-down at The Music Concourse Bandshell. Following the exercise portion of the event, there will be 2.5 hours of Beer Tasting from 11AM-1:30PM, industry exhibitors, live music, educational speeches, and more! If you want to show your support for marijuana or learn more about it, then this is the event for you!
Free Films in Dolores Park

The Film Night in the Park outdoor film series is back and kicks off this Saturday evening at 7PM! Every Saturday starting this weekend, a new movie will be played on a huge screen in Dolores park for a whole month. Attendees are encouraged to picnic before the film starts, and refreshments will be available at the park as well. The movie playing this weekend is The Adventures of Priscilla, Queen of the Desert. Come out and relax with a good movie classic and the beautiful scenery of one of SF’s best parks!
Jerry Day

The 16th Annual Jerry Day is an annual civic and cultural event that celebrates one of the great rock guitarists of all time and San Francisco-native, Jerry Garcia. And yes, he did inspire the name of Ben & Jerry’s delicious Cherry Garcia ice cream flavor. This all day concert and festival brings together an eclectic group of performers, including several who played with the Jerry Garcia Band in the ’80s and ’90s. Don’t miss out on this festive event that is sure to make you feel nostalgic!
Beer Brewing Class

Learn how to brew a 1-gallon batch of a German Hefe Weissbier! You’ll quickly hear about the history and chemistry of beer brewing before getting hands on. Make your own beer to take home and taste samples from a few breweries. Now that sounds like a fun way to spend your Sunday afternoon!

1. Sun Protection
Afternoons in our foggy city may be cool, but be sure to put on some sun protection (sunscreen, lip balm, sunglasses) before you leave the house to avoid some nasty sun burns!

We may not even know it, but it’s easy to become dehydrated when we spend the day dancing and keeping up with our favorite floats at Pride! Don’t forget to bring your own Hydro Flask water bottle to save a few bucks and to stay well-hydrated.

Info: Looking to travel to a different country? Shambhala is the festival for you! Located in British Columbia, Canada this festival is celebrating twenty years old this August! With four days filled of enchanting electronic music this experience festival will be one for the books!
Burning Man

Info: The OG music festival. This is the ultimate transformational festival that is much less centered on the music and featured artists and more on the overall experience. During the festival Black Rock City, a temporary community is created for just the span of the festival. Burning Man doesn’t even book acts basing the festival entirely the people to attend to make their own art and share it with everyone else.
Austin City Limits

Info: This festival is inspired by the PBS concert series that also bares the same name. Produced by the same people that make Lollapalooza, ACL has now branched out to have two full weekends of great music, food and people!
