ABCey’s San Francisco Weekend Lineup 7/20-7/22
Tomorrow’s the day we’re all looking forward to: Friday! ABCey brings you this week’s San Francisco Weekend Lineup with the top events happening in the Bay Area! If you don’t have plans this weekend, we’ve got you covered from Star Wars at the Symphony Hall to a Burning Man trunk show!
Daybreaker SF

Usually, you may not be a morning person, but you’re going to want to be one for Daybreaker SF! Get ready for an unforgettable time with crazy beats, amazing company, and tons of dancing! Being their 4th anniversary, their theme is “Come Sail Awake With Us” and they plan to entertain you all morning with activities like yoga, dancing, and face painting! It’s one our favorites for the weekend, will we see you there?
Summer with the Symphony
July 18 – August 3 | 7:30pm | Prices range from $75.00-$125.00 | Davies Symphony Hall
The SF Symphony summer concert series returns this weekend! If you love Star Wars, you’re going to be ecstatic! The orchestra will play live scores from the original Star Wars trilogy with the films projected on stage! Talk about an unforgettable experience!
Beyond the Fence Trunk Show

Burning Man is coming up! Hope you’re ready to begin shopping of your costume at the 12th Annual “Beyond the Fence” Trunk show! There will be over 30 local and independent designers selling unique costumes perfect for the desert getaway! Local DJs and cocktails will be available for you to enjoy while you take in inspiration on and off the Playa!
Reverb: Dance Celebration of Larry Harvey

In honor of Larry Harvey for starting Burning Man, we gather together to celebrate the passion he has created in others. This man dreamed of a world where creative minds can come together to cooperate and this vision led to the creation of Burning Man.
Off the Grid
July 22 | 11:00am – 4:00pm | Free admission | Main Parade Ground
Rain or shine, the Presidio takes place on the Main Parade Ground. It features many vendors to get a taste of the diverse foods and cultures of the Bay Area and a free cultural dance performance on the fourth Sunday of each month! It will feature more than 25 international mobile food inventors, music for everyone, lawn games, yoga, and nature-based crafts for kids!
Stern Grove Festival
July 22 | 2pm | Free admission; First come, First Serve | Stern Grove
Since 1938, the SF Symphony returns every summer for an annual performance, and their return dates for this Sunday! If you’re looking for a nice event to take your family or a relaxing day filled with beautiful music, we hope to see you there!

1. J-Pop Summit 2016

Jump into the J-Pop world at this summit and discover Japanese tech, culture, music, food, and film! This huge event starts Friday with Kyary Pamyu Pamyu performing as part of their World Tour (tickets and info). Then prepare yourself for a jam packed summit Saturday and Sunday. You won’t run out of things do with with: meet and greets with J-Pop stars, live performances, tech tradeshow/sessions, fashion events, interactive Summit/Showcase, panel discussions, and workshops! Union Square Fall Fashion Festival
Thursday, October 9 | 5PM to 11PM | Union Square | Free The stores on Union Square will be celebrating the upcoming fall fashion and are inviting everybody to a fashion party in the heart of San Francisco. Participating shops will be offering discounts and gifts, combined with entertainment, refreshments and music. Most stores will be open late! Fashion fans that want to continue the festivities, are also invited to the after-party at Hawthorn Cocktail Lounge. You can purchase tickets for the after-party here.
Fleet Week
October 9 – 13 | 11AM to 6PM | Northern Waterfront, San Francisco | Free Fleet Week is back! In honor of the armed forces of our nation, the Northern Waterfront will be presenting air shows, ship parades, and military displays. Visit the pier to enjoy all kinds of live entertainment and performances. Visitors can watch the famous ship parade on Friday at 11AM and the Blue Angels air show rehearsal from 12:30PM to 3PM. 2014 World Vegetarian Day Festival
October 11 – 12 | 10AM to 6PM | SF Country Fair Building inside Golden Gate Park | Free from 10 AM to 10:30AM, then $10. Free for students with ID and children under 12 years. This two-day festival is a must for all vegetarians, vegans, and meatless food lovers! Aside from guest speakers, talks, cooking demos, and health exhibits, there will be plenty of free samples! Yerba Buena Night Festival

Free Shakespeare in the Park: The Taming of the Shew

The ideal event to bring your friends and family together! Bring a blanket and some snacks and enjoy the funny and crazy plot twists in Shakespeare’s The Taming of the Shew. A Green Show describing Shakespeare’s background and history precedes the play, which makes this event great for non-Shakespeare literates as well.
Chic Metropolitan Fashion Show
Saturday | 7pm – 1am | 950 Mason St, San Francisco | Cover $30-50
If you are into fashion, you can’t miss the Fast and Luxurious fashion show by Chic Metropolitan this Saturday. Held in The Grand Ballroom of the Fairmont Hotel and presented by multi-millionaire Robert Herjavec, Chic Metropolitan will introduce the latest fashion from Colleen Queen on more than 50 models. Ghirardelli Square Chocolate Festival
Saturday and Sunday | 12pm – 5pm | Ghirardelli Square, San Francisco | Free entry but chocolate samples must be purchased.
Chocolate lovers will enjoy this weekend’s 19th annual Ghirardelli Chocolate Festival! More than 30 vendors will be offering all kinds of sweet and delicious samples. The sampling tickets can be purchased here and the money will be donated to Project Open Hand. If you don’t want to spend money on the sampling tickets, there are still plenty of other reasons to check out this event! There will be chef demonstrations from chocolatiers, cupcake bakers and many more, as well as the popular ice-cream sundae eating contest.
California Academy of Science: Free Admission Day

This upcoming Sunday is one of the rare days when the California Academy of Sciences opens its doors for free to the public. Seize this opportunity!
