Event Spotlight: Make-A-Wish Come True

On behalf of event producers Mike Reigle and Piper Hook, ABCey cordially invites you to “Make-A-Wish…come true” on Saturday, April 12th at Jones, SF benefitting Make-A-Wish in the Greater Bay Area. Be part of a Bay Area child’s wish!

DISTRIKT_MAW_flyer_02

Make-A-Wish America grants the wish of children diagnosed with a life-threatening medical condition in the U.S. every 38 minutes! Their belief is that a wish experience can be a game changer. We agree! This is a special fundraiser where YOU can be a part of 3 locally grown wishes made by 3 children via Make-A-Wish Greater Bay Area.

This is a subject that hits close to home for Mike, whose brother Tim battled Hodgkins Disease at a young age and was eventually granted his wish for a boat after his second round of chemo. Unfortunately, Tim lost his battle with Hodgkins at the age of 20 but that did not stop Mike from contributing to the same foundation that gave his brother hope! Tim’s boat was sold for $3,500, the exact price of his wish and donated to the foundation to grant a wish for another child.

Today, Mike wants to take it to the next level of radical participation giving and needs our help to grant three local wishes!

  • Wish #1, by a 17 year old, is to learn to DJ & meet Skrillex  – we hope to gift DJ lessons, equipment, and perhaps a friends & family event where he might display his recently acquired skills before he meets the big man.
  • Wish #2, is to transform a 7 year old’s bedroom into the Tardis spacecraft from the television show, Dr. Who!
  • Wish #3 is TBA shortly!!

This is a group of radical participators. Makers, creators, dreamers, do’ers, but most importantly, GIVERS. We’re looking to this community to make these dreams a reality. OUR GOAL IS TO RAISE AT LEAST $20,000 & ATTAIN FULL TASK LIST SIGN UP TO MAKE THESE WISHES A REALITY.

We hope to raise more. We hope to garner & grant more wishes beyond the above, so come join us at our dream stations. Enjoy complimentary food and drinks while making a child’s dream a reality. Take a role. Give a dollar. Your attendance is gift alone!

This is a cause close to our heart. We hope you’ll all get involved and recruit others.

There will be no door sales, so please purchase a pre-sale ticket so we may plan accordingly. If you can’t afford the suggested donation but would like to take part in the wish, please email piperhook@gmail.com. We welcome all involvement at all levels. We look forward to not only seeing you all, but supporting a great cause!

Early bird tickets available for a $60 donation.
General admission tickets available for a $75 donation.
