Enjoy the summer while it’s still here! This weekend is the perfect time to go out and try some new things. From a auction dinner event, to the ShipShow and Dirtybird BBQ, to PokeCon, to a very vegan Sunday, we have it all! 1. Toast & Taste 2016

2. Dirtybird BBQ 2016: San Francisco

Dirtybird BBQs started out in Golden Gate Park, but has now expanded! Now Dirtybird events are held in Brooklyn to Seattle, and places in between. But now this BBQ is back in SF on Treasure Island this Saturday, and you won’t want to miss it! With its “country fair” theme, this SF event has everything from carnival games to kids activities. Also, it has the “Best in Show contests” and great food of course! For $20, you’ll get some top of the line BBQ to compliment that bumpin’ music alongside artists like Claude Von Stroke, Justin Martin, Christian Martin, J. Phlip, and Worthy and Ardalan.
3. PokeCon 2 at Spark

Are you a foodie? Well then, you’ve got to dive into this yummy fish salad called Poke. Poke is cut up into small cubes of sashimi and drizzled with sauce and seasoning that you will just drool for. At this PokeCon there will be some of the best poke vendors! In addition to poke, dole whips, lau lau, and special hawaiian drinks will also be served! 4. Very Vegan Sundays
Sun, 8/14/16 | 11am – 5pm | FREE | SoMa StrEat Food Park
Join hundreds of fellow vegans this Sunday at this Very Vegan Sunday! Invite your friends and family members, and enjoy the day at the SoMa StrEat Food Park. Admission is free, so everyone is welcome to come! There will be food trucks, popup vendors, beer, mimosas, and lots of vegan specials! Even if you aren’t vegan, the food is still super delicious! 5. The Ship Show – Sunday Morning Cruise of Shame(less)

Jump aboard the San Francisco Spirit this Sunday morning for 4 hours of fun and shenanigans! Derek Hena presents this cruise filled with lots of music, drinking, partying, and adult fun! This cruise has full bars, including a Bloody Mary one, and food you can purchase, such as bacon, fruit parfaits, and breakfast burritos. While you sail along the bay, you’ll hear top notch DJs mixing hip-hop, disco, funk, and more! Start your Friday off at Pier 70! Pier 70 is celebrating the launch of their 18 hole Miniature Golf Course. The miniature golf course will be open on the weekends throughout the month of July and August. 2. Red Panda Acrobats

5. Free Ghirardelli Sundae & Ocean Beach Cleanup Party

TGI-A-F (Thank Goodness It’s Almost Friday)! The end of the month is swiftly approaching, and we can’t help but notice, where did the time go? Many, utilize the month of January to get the year’s resolutions, priorities, and agendas in order. However, with our minds consumed by tasks and workloads we must remember to schedule some fun into our daily lives. ABCey would like to take the time to applaud all of your hard work and in return reward you with an awesome weekend lineup to kick back your feet and smell the roses!
1. SF BEER WEEK OPENING GALA

One of the most anticipated events of the season has finally arrived! Beer week 2016 will run through January 22-January 31 and will give the Bay area 9 days of beer mayhem. This Friday, January 22, will be the official kick off party that will feature over 110 breweries from the Northern California area! If that’s not enough, all attendees will receive a complimentary commemorative glass, 4 oz samples of an array of beers, and an extensive selection of food options that can be purchased. Get your hands on a ticket now before it’s too late and make sure you check out the rest of the lineup!
CIRCUS: TIGHTROPE & JUGGLING CLASS

Not a beer drinker? That’s okay! This fun spin on fitness & acrobats will bring you back to the days of ferris wheels, cotton candy, and popcorn. This open session will allow you to explore different circus acts like juggling, tight wire, rolla bolla, feather balancing, and clowning. Even better, it’s a family night, kids ages 8 and up are welcome to join in on the fun. Make sure you arrive to the Circus Center early to reserve your spot, space is limited and fills up quick!

This Saturday, Recology will be observing 4 months of artistic creation of their artists in-residence! This inspiring exhibition exemplifies work that has been created by gathering materials from the dump and utilizing it as a message to promote recycling and reuse of items. Enjoy this public exhibition to appreciate the artists, their craft, and the purpose it represents!
SALSA DANCE SOCIAL
