Enjoy the summer while it’s still here! This weekend is the perfect time to go out and try some new things. From a auction dinner event, to the ShipShow and Dirtybird BBQ, to PokeCon, to a very vegan Sunday, we have it all! Here at ABCey Events, we’ve compiled a list of the 5 top Bay Area and SF events to attend!

1. Toast & Taste 2016

Indulge in one of SF events’s top dining experiences while you wine and dine your night away this Friday! You’ll be able to have great food and give back to the community at the San Francisco Private Dining Venue’s Annual Toast & Taste event. All proceeds will go to Compass Family Services, whose mission it is to end family homelessness. This special event includes a silent auction to a bunch of goodies! 2. Dirtybird BBQ 2016: San Francisco

Dirtybird BBQs started out in Golden Gate Park, but has now expanded! Now Dirtybird events are held in Brooklyn to Seattle, and places in between. But now this BBQ is back in SF on Treasure Island this Saturday, and you won’t want to miss it! With its “country fair” theme, this SF event has everything from carnival games to kids activities. Also, it has the “Best in Show contests” and great food of course! For $20, you’ll get some top of the line BBQ to compliment that bumpin’ music alongside artists like Claude Von Stroke, Justin Martin, Christian Martin, J. Phlip, and Worthy and Ardalan.

3. PokeCon 2 at Spark

Are you a foodie? Well then, you’ve got to dive into this yummy fish salad called Poke. Poke is cut up into small cubes of sashimi and drizzled with sauce and seasoning that you will just drool for. At this PokeCon there will be some of the best poke vendors! In addition to poke, dole whips, lau lau, and special hawaiian drinks will also be served! 4. Very Vegan Sundays

Sun, 8/14/16 | 11am – 5pm | FREE | SoMa StrEat Food Park

Join hundreds of fellow vegans this Sunday at this Very Vegan Sunday! Invite your friends and family members, and enjoy the day at the SoMa StrEat Food Park. Admission is free, so everyone is welcome to come! There will be food trucks, popup vendors, beer, mimosas, and lots of vegan specials! Even if you aren’t vegan, the food is still super delicious! 5. The Ship Show – Sunday Morning Cruise of Shame(less)

Jump aboard the San Francisco Spirit this Sunday morning for 4 hours of fun and shenanigans! Derek Hena presents this cruise filled with lots of music, drinking, partying, and adult fun! This cruise has full bars, including a Bloody Mary one, and food you can purchase, such as bacon, fruit parfaits, and breakfast burritos. While you sail along the bay, you’ll hear top notch DJs mixing hip-hop, disco, funk, and more! Moreover, you can celebrate Sunday Funday with tons of adult games like pantless congo lines, inappropriate coloring books, ping pong and tons of special surprises! 1. Pier 70 Putt Putt Happy Hour!

Start your Friday off at Pier 70! Pier 70 is celebrating the launch of their 18 hole Miniature Golf Course. The miniature golf course will be open on the weekends throughout the month of July and August. So come on out and enjoy free live music, dance performances, shopping opportunities and of course, food! Happy Celebrating!

2. Red Panda Acrobats

Bring your family to watch the Red Panda Acrobats this upcoming Friday! Specifically designed for kids and families, the Yerba Buena Children’s Garden gives you two free shows to enjoy. 3. Frida Kahlo’s 109th Birthday Celebration

Celebrate Frida Kahlo’s 109th birthday at the Mission Cultural Center for Latino Arts! 4. Animal Show: Fur, Scales, & Tails

Come watch Tracey Hill’s Fur, Scales, and Tails Animal Show at the Community Learning Center in South San Francisco this Saturday! Take this chance to pet some of your favorite animals and catch them perform some fun and exciting tricks! Not only is this event free of charge, but visitors are also encouraged to take pictures and film throughout the entire show.

5. Free Ghirardelli Sundae & Ocean Beach Cleanup Party

Spend your Sunday morning with a beach cleanup at Ocean Beach and a free Ocean Beach Salted Caramel Sundae at the end! In order to help raise awareness about protecting the urban beach, Ghirardelli is partnering up with Surfrider Foundation in providing cleanup volunteers with free Ocean Beach Sundae vouchers. So help your community while satisfying your sweet cravings this weekend!

TGI-A-F (Thank Goodness It’s Almost Friday)! The end of the month is swiftly approaching, and we can’t help but notice, where did the time go? Many, utilize the month of January to get the year’s resolutions, priorities, and agendas in order. However, with our minds consumed by tasks and workloads we must remember to schedule some fun into our daily lives. ABCey would like to take the time to applaud all of your hard work and in return reward you with an awesome weekend lineup to kick back your feet and smell the roses!

1. SF BEER WEEK OPENING GALA

FRIDAY. 22 JANUARY 2016 | 6:00-10:00 PM | PIER 35 | $80

One of the most anticipated events of the season has finally arrived! Beer week 2016 will run through January 22-January 31 and will give the Bay area 9 days of beer mayhem. This Friday, January 22, will be the official kick off party that will feature over 110 breweries from the Northern California area! If that’s not enough, all attendees will receive a complimentary commemorative glass, 4 oz samples of an array of beers, and an extensive selection of food options that can be purchased. Get your hands on a ticket now before it’s too late and make sure you check out the rest of the lineup!

CIRCUS: TIGHTROPE & JUGGLING CLASS

Not a beer drinker? That’s okay! This fun spin on fitness & acrobats will bring you back to the days of ferris wheels, cotton candy, and popcorn. This open session will allow you to explore different circus acts like juggling, tight wire, rolla bolla, feather balancing, and clowning. Even better, it’s a family night, kids ages 8 and up are welcome to join in on the fun. Make sure you arrive to the Circus Center early to reserve your spot, space is limited and fills up quick!

ONE DEEP BREATH LAUNCH PARTY: YOGA + MIMOSAS!

ART AT THE DUMP: RECOLOGY’S RECYCLED ART EXHIBIT

This weekend is all about taking a break from reality and recognizing your hard work and achievements. This Saturday, Recology will be observing 4 months of artistic creation of their artists in-residence! This inspiring exhibition exemplifies work that has been created by gathering materials from the dump and utilizing it as a message to promote recycling and reuse of items. Enjoy this public exhibition to appreciate the artists, their craft, and the purpose it represents!

SALSA DANCE SOCIAL

SUNDAY. 24 JANUARY 2016 | 4:00 PM-12:00 AM | SLATE BAR | FREE BEFORE 6 PM

Are you rejuvenated, relaxed, and revitalized yet? Great, because this Salsa Dance Social is something you don’t want to miss! Close out the weekend with your dancing shoes and your best outfit. Dancing starts as early as 4 PM for those of you with an early Monday morning and ends as late as midnight for the rest of you daredevils! Enjoy some of the greatest salsa, merengue, bachata, and reggaeton hits!

Another weekend is coming up and we can’t be more excited! If you’re having difficulty making up your mind on what to do, let ABCey help you. We’ve got a list of awesome events that include helping a child’s wish come true to experiencing breathtaking theatrical performances. Read on to find out what else we have in store!

1. Make A Wish Day: SF Becomes Gotham City for Miles | Friday, November 15th | 10:30am – 2pm | Union Square or San Francisco City Hall | Watch as San Francisco becomes transformed into a real life Gotham City. The special role of Batman will be played by none other than a bright, cheerful 5 year old boy named Miles. He suffers from a rare form of Leukemia. So the Make-A-Wish Foundation is doing their part to help make sure his wish, of being Batman, comes true. The public is welcome to participate and cheer Miles on!

2. Cirque du Soleil: Amaluna | Friday, November 15th | 8pm | AT&T Park | Cirque du Soleil kicks off its newest show, Amaluna, this week in the Bay Area. Come experience an emotional and captivating story featuring some of the world’s best performers and acrobats. If you have never been to a Cirque du Soleil show, you definitely wouldn’t want to miss this!

3. Steve Aoki: Aokify America Tour | Saturday, November 16th | 8pm | Bill Graham Civic Auditorium | EDM party rocker Steve Aoki is back in the Bay Area and is said to have the most insane tour, ever! There will be no shortage of his usual crowd-rafting, cake-throwing, champagne spraying antics. However according to Aoki, he definitely has a few more surprises up his sleeve!

4. West Coast Craft | Saturday, November 16th – Sunday, November 17th| Fort Mason Center | This craft and design show will feature carefully selected designers, artists, and craftspeople living and working on the West Coast. Using a variety of mediums, including wood, metal, leather and paper, these designers create singular items that exemplify the mood and aesthetics of their West Coast lifestyle.

5. 2013 Korean Cultural Day Festival | Sunday, November 17th | Union Square | Come celebrate traditional and modern Korean culture. This free cultural festival includes a colorful Royal March with the Korean Dynasty’s costume parade, K-Pop music and dance, traditional folk music and dance performances. There will also be a ton of delicious food for visitors to try!
