ABCey’s Top 5 Kickstarter Projects

Posted by Linda Pham

Kickstarter has helped fund thousands of projects from films to design to technology. Here at ABCey Events, we are always looking for new ways to build tech into our events, so Kickstarter is one of our premier places that we go to get innovated. Here are five of our favorties that will hopefully inspire you, or can at least be great additions to your home or office!

1. LIFX: LIFX is a no ordinary lightbulb. This WiFi enabled, multi-colored, energy efficient LED light blub is fully controlled by you. You can change the settings so that the light slowly dims as you sleep, turn on or off as you enter or leave your home, and even match the mood of the music playing.

2. Mo Mug: Mo Mug offers a double-walled, reusable porcelain cup so that you can enjoy a hot cup of coffee while staying green. It’s the first of its kind! The trendy mustache design is also to die for.

3. Impossible Instant Lab: Instant photos and Polaroid aren’t dying just yet. The Impossible Instant Lab allows you to print an instant photo from any digital photo on your iPhone.

4. 3D Printers: 3D printers make three-dimensional solid objects from a 2D digital model. People are using it to print lost screws, art pieces, tools, and even houses! Previously found in more industrial settings, 3D printers are now being commercialized for both the office and home.

5. Ostrich Pillow: Who doesn’t love power naps? Ostrich Pillow’s unique design creates a private space for you to fall asleep. Its soft environment isolates your head and hands away from the public sphere that may surround you.

Like any of these projects? Make sure you sign onto Kickstarter and fund your favorites. Know of any other innovative products we may like? Leave  us a comment here or find us on Twitter and Facebook!

Our decision to have this event was fairly spur of the moment, so their team only had approximately 2 weeks to put it all together. ABCey was able to secure Union Square, clearly a popular spot in the heart of San Francisco and also naturally heavily foot-trafficked. Amanda handled all […]
